Since 2005, Freedom Is Not Free has given more than $1 million in grants to over 300 individuals, families, and organizations.

THANK YOU FOR EIGHT YEARS OF SUPPORT

In June 2013, Freedom Is Not Free will wind down its mission

Over the past eight years, the generosity of our supporters has allowed our organization to provide well over $1 million in direct financial assistance to combat wounded veterans and their families as they transition out of the service. Additionally, we have been able to construct and renovate facilities benefiting tens of thousands of wounded soldiers and their families from across all branches of service as they go through the rehabilitation and recovery process.

Another popular program, the Little Warriors Surf Camp, has provided free professional surf instruction to nearly 450 children of killed, wounded, or deployed service members in Southern California. The lasting, positive impact of programs such as these are made evident by the outstanding feedback we receive, and the extreme volume of applications we continue to receive each year.

As an organization that has never received any government funding, all of the credit for our impact goes directly to our generous supporters. Our donors share in our conviction that the brave men and women who have sacrificed for our country deserve the dignity of financial stability while they focus on recovering from their wounds.

As the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan continue to draw down, we recognize the need for long term programs that focus on vocational training, job placement, and rehabilitation. It is with these convictions in mind that we have decided to close our programs, and contribute our assets to organizations aligned with such an outcome.

From all past and present staff, volunteers, and clients of Freedom Is Not Free - we would like to extend a final "THANK YOU" for your support and donations over the last eight years!
